The journal Epitheorisi Technis (Art Review) (1954-1967) was a decisive turning point in cultural events in Greek society after the Civil War. Created by the intelligentsia of the young Left who were trying to open up new dimensions in the critical thought that they represented, it was the field on which significant efforts were made to work out issues related to art. Avant-garde aesthetic theories were introduced, dialogues and clashes evolved that marked their era and enriched modern Greek critical discourse.
